Mooresville, NC (4 March 2010)—Riley Technologies (a division of SEA STAR GROUP, INC. Stock Symbol SGQZ) got a fast start to the 2010 racing season, and will look to keep that momentum going again this weekend.

After continuing its long history of success at Daytona International Speedway with both the overall victory and a GT Class win in the season-opening Rolex 24 At Daytona, Riley Technologies will focus on the sprint format that will be featured the next four Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 events, starting with this weekends Grand Prix of Miami at Homestead Miami Speedway.

Riley Tech has captured the GRAND-AM Daytona Prototype Manufacturer Championship for the last six years running, and will look to extend that streak in 2010. Riley Tech supports the firms customer base at every GRAND-AM event with full spares and parts supply, support engineers, and field technicians to keep the cars at speed and on the track.

Leading the charge at Homestead will be the Rolex 24-winning No. 9 Action Express Racing Porsche V8-Riley Daytona Prototype of Joao Barbosa and  Terry Borcheller, who enter the weekend with the championship lead. The field will also see the competition intensify after Starworks Motorsport’s announcement of a second entry starting with the Grand Prix of Miami. The team has high hopes for the weekend, and knowing that the BMW-Riley combination was the winning choice at the race in 2007 will only intensify that enthusiasm.

bellconticam.jpgHomestead, FL (2 March 2010) –Even though he won the opening round of the 2009 GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge season, it wasn’t until the second race of the year at Homestead Miami Speedway that the paddock really started to take note of Matt Bell’s speedy ways as he stormed to his first career pole position.

While it was just his first year of racing in the Grand Sport (GS) class, Bell still made it look easy as he repeated that qualifying result to record-breaking effect throughout the 2009 season.

Entering the Miami 200 event this weekend at Homestead Miami Speedway, there are a lot more drivers paying attention as Bell targets a strong run in the 2010 championship after taking third in the final rankings last season.

Bell was signed by Stevenson Motorsports to drive the Riley Technologies-built Chevrolet Camaro GS.R with co-driver Jeff Bucknum for the 2010 GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge championship, and the duo got a solid start to the year with a run to fifth at Daytona. The race outing was not a straightforward one, as Bell’s top-ten qualifying time was set aside following the final qualifying, forcing him to start the race from the back of the field.

Florida-based squad relishing chance to race in South Florida for round 2...

HOMESTEAD, Fla., 2 March – Florida’s own Rum Bum Racing is one for one this season.  In fact, the team, which was formed only a few short months before the Grand- AM Continental Tires Sports Car Challenge season opener at Daytona International Speedway, could retire with a perfect record.

But with Miami native Gianluis Bacardi and Matt Plumb of Newport, Rhode Island behind the wheel, and Joe Varde calling the shots from the pit wall, the team has no intention of slowing down after taking a thrilling win in their first ever race under the Rum Bum Racing banner in GRAND-AM competition.

Now, heading into South Florida’s Homestead Miami Speedway for round 2, Bacardi, Plumb and Varde are looking to pick up where they left off.  One new challenge for the event is the fact that beyond the nearly 80 other cars that will be sharing the 2.3-mile track, there will be one additional factor to overcome this time around.

Rum Bum Racing fields the current generation of BMW’s M3 in the GS class, known as the “E92.” The team brought the machine its first-ever Continental Tires race win with its triumph at Daytona. But following the Daytona success, Grand-Am officials in their never-ending quest to keep the playing field level, determined that the M3s need to be reigned in a touch.  So, the team, along with other M3 squads, will be running a restricted car for the foreseeable future.  Yet it may not matter, for while the M3 is a potent weapon, the secret to Rum Bum Racing’s Daytona success was as much the result of skilled driving and excellent pit strategy.
